IT IS VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO WET THE DRESSING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

You will receive a prescription for: antibiotic cream, iodine solution or buro-sol

Soak your toe for 10 minutes 2 times a day for 7 days.  After soaking, dry your toe and cover it with antibiotic cream or ointment and a dry bandage.

In order to keep your toe clean, without infection, it is important to do your soaking as instructed and cover your toe with a clean bandage.

For a PARTIAL MATRICECTOMY (burn of a part of the nail root); a new growth can happen in 5% of cases.  There is no guarantee.

For an ONYCECTOMY (emergency procedure); the root is still intact so there is high chance of reoccurrence.

***IMPORTANT***

It is important to come to the clinic for your follow up appointment within the next following days of your procedure.

Following this procedure it is normal to have redness and drainage at the procedure site.

It can last 10 to 14 days.
