Plantar Orthotics Delivery
At this appointment, you will need to plan 1.30hrs with the orthesist for the finalization of the orthotics support, which will be made to your feet for better comfort and better support. No time is allocated with the podiatrist, unless advised otherwise.
You will need to bring 2–3 pairs of shoes that are the most used, or wish to wear with your orthotics with. It is usually suggested not to buy any shoes before having received your orthotics.
Wearing your plantar orthotics:
After having received your orthotics, we suggest that you start wearing them in a gradual manner. For example, first day one hour, second day two hours, and so on. After about two weeks you should be capable to tolerate them all day.
It is normal to feel certain discomforts at first, but not pain .It is for this reason the orthotic devices are finished to your feet. Some adjustment will be made immediately if pain is felt.
It is normal to feel some muscular tension at the beginning; this is part of the adaptation process.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Your orthotics should not be submerged. It is suggested to wash them with a damp cloth and mild soap. It is important to keep away from any source of heat.
Parking :
We offer free parking. This parking lot is situated on the north/west corner of Iberville and Bélanger Streets. You will need to take a coupon at the gate, and then exchange inside for a token with one of the secretaries. This token will allow the gate to open and permit you to leave the parking lot without any fee.
